︎ This speculative film explores the expression of intimacy in a possible post-privacy future.

Taking contemporary issues of mass surveillance, facial recognition, and data mining as a starting point and extrapolating those technologies to the nth degree, this story is told through the experience of an individual yearning to feel a human connection.

As a critique of technology’s potential to undermine our humanity, “Reverie” theorizes a moment where simulacra is not only preferred, but becomes the only means by which we are completely free to express ourselves.
